A grab shot form the vatican earlier in the year. A scene witnessed by millions..

And bugger me an identical shot wins the photograph of the year in a major US magazine.. No accounting for taste!

Update: Yet another similar shot awarded in the Sony World Photography Awards!

Very good ! I'm impressed too by the great depth of field and the perfect lighting which must have been hard to obtained in such a staircase. I didn't even know you could have such a depth of fiel with a 2.8 aperture and only 1/20s speed. I have to try !
